What is Custom Training in Rocket League?

Custom Training allows players to train their skills using custom-made training packs by other players. With the new Shot Navigation update, players are able to seamlessly switch between shots. You’ll even be able to mix things up by toggling Mirroring or Shuffle. Additionally, training pack progression now allows players to reset their progress for a fresh start on a training pack. Check out all the updates below.

To get to Custom Training:

  1. Select Play from the Main Menu
  2. Select Training
  3. Select Custom
  4. Choose a training pack

Shot Navigation

Here’s a list of all of the new navigational updates:

  • Next Shot/Previous Shot
      • Use the Right DPad/Right Arrow Key or the Left DPad/Left Arrow Key to move to the next or previous shot in a training pack
  • Select Shot
      • This menu will allow players to select a specific shot and see the completion status of the shots in a training pack
      • PlayStation: Press and hold Touchpad
      • Xbox: Back/Select button
      • Nintendo Switch: - (Minus) Button
      • Keyboard/Mouse: Enter Key
  • Shuffle Play
      • Enable by pressing Up DPad/Up Arrow Key
      • When the Shuffle is enabled, the next or previous shot will be in random order
      • All shots can be shuffled, even if player has completed some of the shots in the pack
      • Shots will be Shuffled until disabled or player leaves the pack
  • Shot Mirroring
    • Mirror the shot by pressing Down DPad/Down Arrow Key</strong >

Progression Updates

Progress on training packs no longer requires shots to be completed in the order. Players can now jump between shots to complete the pack in their own way. Progress on packs will also be saved to Save Data automatically. Players can also reset the progress of any pack. To reset progress on a pack, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Pause Menu
  2. Select Reset Progress
