What is Online Free Play in Rocket League?

Season 17 of Rocket League introduces Online Free Play. This new mode lets players enjoy Online Free Play with up to 7 friends, 8 players in total. Players can create Online Free Play Sessions directly from the main menu, post-match screen, or while searching for a game. Sessions can be joined via name and password. Note that the party leader cannot start the session if a member of the party is in an active match. Additionally, the Party Leader will have Ball Manipulation Controls (BMC) by default and will be able to pass this on to another party member by leaving the match. Only one party member can use BMC at a time.

Online Free Play can be used in Soccar, Dropshot, Hoops, and Snow Day. Additional settings and customization include Arena, Boost Options, Goal Reset, and Region.
