How do I flush my DNS on Windows to improve my connection to your servers?

DNS is a name lookup service, like a phone book for the internet. Flushing your DNS allows your device to remove outdated entries and get new ones.

To flush your DNS follow the steps below:

  1. Press and release the Windows key + the R key on your keyboard
  2. Type CMD and Right-click on Command Prompt
  3. Select Run as Administrator to access the prompt.
  4. Type netsh winsock reset and press the Enter key.
  5. Restart your computer.
  6. Repeat steps 1-3 to open a new Command Prompt
  7. Type ipconfig /release in the prompt
  8. Wait a few moments for all information to load
  9. Type ipconfig /renew in the prompt
  10. Wait a few moments for all information to load
  11. Type ipconfig /flushdns in the prompt
  12. Close the command prompt
  13. Open the Epic Games Launcher and start your game
