Rocket League is rated E for Everyone. However, Online Interactions are not rated by the ESRB. In Rocket League, those Online Interactions include:
You can protect your child by limiting some of these interactions.
There is no feature in-game to disable player-to-player trading. We recommend that you review our Rocket League Trading Tips for Parents article with your child. It’s also useful to monitor the friend and trade requests that your child sends and receives.
In-Game Chat (Text)
Text can be disabled from the Settings menu in the Gameplay tab. It’s helpful to communicate with teammates in Rocket League. We have a feature that allows players to communicate using only preset messages called Quick Chat. This eliminates the risk of seeing inappropriate language from other players in-game.
Use the Quick Chat Only or Team Quick Chat Only in order to allow your child to communicate with players using preset messages. These messages can be customized in the Chat tab of the Settings menu.
