I can't change the email on my Epic Games account

If you followed the instructions here and you couldn’t change the email on your Epic Games account, there are two main reasons why:

  1. You don't have access to the email address associated with your Epic Games account. If this is the case, click this link to enter some verification information and submit a ticket to our support team.
  2. When you entered a new email address for your Epic Games account, an automated email containing a verification link was sent to the new address. If you haven’t verified your new email address, please follow the steps below to finish updating your email address.
  1. Log into your Epic Games account here: https://www.epicgames.com/account 

    When you log in, the GENERAL SETTINGS page displays.

  2. Scroll to the ACCOUNT INFO section. You’ll see an error message that says that You are limited to only one alternative email. Please check your email to verify the address.

    • If you have access to the email address you entered, click Resend Email.  In your email inbox, locate the verification email, and click VERIFY YOUR EMAIL to finish changing the email address on your account.

    • If you don’t have access to the email address you entered, click Cancel

      A Confirm Cancellation pop-up window displays.

      Click Confirm to cancel your email change.
