II-E1003 error: Install Failed

If you see the II-E1003 error while trying to install a game, it means that the Epic Games Launcher can't download the necessary game files for installation. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to fix the issue: 

1. Check if you have the latest version of Epic Games Launcher installed. Refer to Update the Epic Games Launcher.

2. Verify your game files. Refer to How do I verify game files in the Epic Games Launcher?

3. Clear Epic Games Launcher cache. Refer to How do I clear the Launcher cache on PC?

4. Reinstall the Epic Games Launcher. Refer to How do I reinstall the Epic Games Launcher?

   This will remove all of the games that you installed through the Epic Games Launcher.

5. Change your DNS server. Refer to How do I switch to a public DNS to strengthen my connection?
