LS-0019: Prerequisites installation failed

This error code means that the prerequisites for a game have failed to install correctly or completely. This error code may also appear as:

• LS-0019-IS-IZ01

• LS-0019-IS-PQR3010

• LS-0019-IS-PQE1223

This is common when you don't have the necessary permissions to install files or your computer requires a restart.

Run the Epic Games Launcher as an administrator

Windows

1. Exit the Epic Games Launcher by right-clicking on the system tray icon and clicking on Exit.

2. Locate your Epic Games Launcher shortcut.

3. Right-click on it.

4. Click on Run as Administrator.

5. Click on Yes on the pop-up that appears.

6. Once the launcher finishes loading, try launching the game you're trying to play.

Restart your computer

Some of the prerequisites that games install require a restart of your computer before the game is able to run such as the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables:

1. Click on Start.

2. Click on the Power icon.

3. Click on Restart.

4. Once your computer finishes restarting, start the Epic Games Launcher and try launching the game you're trying to play.

Reinstall the game in the Epic Games Launcher

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.

2. Select Library.

3. Click the meatball menu (...) under the game.

4. Select Uninstall.

5. Once uninstalled, click the game tile to reinstall it.

Use the -SkipBuildPatchPrereq launcher option

1. Close the Epic Games Launcher entirely.

2. Right-click on the Epic Games Launcher shortcut and click Properties.

3. At the end of the Target line insert the following:
   -SkipBuildPatchPrereq
   Important: Ensure you insert a space at the end of the Target line before adding -SkipBuildPatchPrereq
   Example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Binaries\Win32\EpicGamesLauncher.exe" -SkipBuildPatchPrereq

4. Click on Apply.

5. Right-click on the Epic Games Launcher shortcut.

6. Click on Run as Administrator.

Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables

• Install  Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio. (Opens in a new tab)

  • On 32-bit Windows install vcredist_x86.exe.

  • On 64-bit Windows install both vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe.

• Install the latest version of the Epic Games Launcher.
