How to Cancel or Return Fortnite Purchases

You can request a refund for most in-game cosmetic purchases made with V-Bucks by using our Cancel Purchase option or Return Ticket option.

Cancel Purchase

You may cancel any unintentional purchase made with V-Bucks. Cancel Purchase is available until you equip or use your purchase during gameplay. Only Items purchased within the last 24 hours are eligible for Cancel Purchase. When cancelling your purchase the item will be removed from your account, and your V-Bucks will be refunded. You can use the Cancel Purchase feature only once for each item purchased. If you’ve canceled a purchase and go to buy the same item again, the game will remind you of this rule.

Important: Cancel Purchase cannot be used on the following:

  • Level Up Quest Pack
  • Cosmetic Bundles
  • Gifted Purchases
  • Passes
  • Loot Llamas (Save the World)
  • Event or weekly items (Save the World)
  • Fortnite Festival Pass
  • Premium Reward Track

Note: If you are unable to Cancel your purchase because it is out of policy, try Returning the purchase instead.

Return Tickets

If more than 24 hours have passed, you may be able to use a Return Ticket to refund an eligible purchase.

  • Each account starts with 3 Return Tickets.
  • You can return eligible items purchased within the last 30 days.
  • Using a Return Ticket will remove the item and credit the V-Bucks back to your account.
  • If the purchase was a bundle, the entire bundle must be returned.
  • After you use a ticket, a new one will be granted every 365 days, up to a maximum of 3.

To Cancel or Return a Purchase in-game:

  1. Open Fortnite.
  2. Select the Player Icon in the top right.
  3. Go to Settings > Account and Privacy.
  4. Select Return or Cancel Purchase.
  5. Find the item you want to return or cancel 
  6. Confirm your choice.
  7. You’ll see a success screen showing your V-Bucks refund.

To Cancel or Return a Purchase in the Web Item Shop

  1. Sign in to your account at fortnite.com/shop (Opens in a new tab).
  2. Click the Player Icon in the top right.
  3. Select Return and Cancel Purchases.
  4. Select Show Purchases.
  5. Choose the item to return or cancel.
  6. Confirm your choice.
  7. A success screen will display your refunded V-Bucks.
