After purchasing a cosmetic in-game with V-Bucks from the Fortnite Item Shop, there are two ways to return the item(s): Cancel Purchase or using a Return Ticket. If you purchased a cosmetic directly with money and are seeking a refund, please visit this page.
Cancel Purchase is available immediately after the purchase is made, directly from the item screen itself. You can also cancel recent purchases from the Return or Cancel Purchase screen, which can be accessed in the sidebar under the icon in the “Support & Refunds” section or through the Account and Privacy section of the settings. Using this option will remove the content from your account and return the V-Bucks you spent.
You can cancel in-game cosmetic purchases made with V-Bucks until you equip the item during gameplay or until 24 hours go by, whichever comes first. You’ll also see a reminder of this policy before you equip the item within the 24-hour cancellation window while in a matchmaking state or while in game. Return Tickets (previously called Return Requests or Refund Tokens) are used to return eligible cosmetic purchases after the option to cancel them has expired. These purchases can be returned for up to 30 days. Each account is initially granted 3 Return Tickets. Once you've used a Return Ticket, you will receive another Return Ticket 365 days following the addition of the most recent Return Ticket to your account. You can have up to a maximum of 3 Return Tickets at any one time.
For example: if you used 2 Return Tickets today for the first time and did not use any more, you would have 1 Return Ticket remaining for the next 365 days. After 365 days, a new Return Ticket would be added to your account, bringing your account’s total Return Tickets to 2. 365 days after the second Return Ticket is added to your account, a third Return Ticket would be added to your account, bringing your account total back to the maximum of 3.
You can see your number of available Return Tickets in-game at any time by visiting the Return or Cancel Purchase Screen or under the Account section called “Recent Purchases” in Settings. Visit this page for more information on how to use Return Tickets and which purchases are eligible.
You can use a Return Ticket by navigating to the Return or Cancel Purchase screen. You will see the option to Return Purchases, which will then show your recent Item Shop purchases. If available, you will also see purchases eligible to cancel in this menu alongside the option to return eligible purchases with a Return Ticket.
Select the purchase you wish to return, and then follow the prompts to use a Return Ticket. This will immediately remove the item from your account and grant you the V-Bucks spent on the purchase.
