The Blueprint Update introduced a system called Blueprints.
After you play a match, you’ll have a chance to obtain a Blueprint. This is a type of drop that replaced Crates. Blueprints show an item that can be built, and the price in Credits to build it. Once in your inventory, you may choose to pay the Credits to build the item or keep the Blueprint to build or trade later. Like items from Crates, the items from Blueprints may have special attributes like Painted and, Certified.
Credits are a type of currency that replaced Keys. Credits can be used to build items from Blueprints, purchase items from the Item Shop or upgrade to Rocket Pass Premium. Keys were converted into Credits on December 4, 2019 when the Blueprint Update went live. Any Keys in your inventory were converted on your first log-in after the update.
Crates were also converted the first time you log in after the Blueprint Update. Crates converted into Unrevealed Blueprints of the same series. Unrevealed Blueprints are not tradable.
You can reveal an Unrevealed Blueprint at no cost. Once revealed, the item on the Blueprint can be built for the Credit cost shown.
After an Online Match, there is a chance that you will get a revealed Blueprint. You can then build the item with Credits, trade the Blueprint to another player, or keep it in your inventory for later.
