Why do I get a message about the license agreement in Rocket League?
In order to play online, you must accept the Epic Games Terms of Service (Opens in a new tab) and Privacy Policy (Opens in a new tab). If the terms change, you will be prompted on your first login to read and agree once again. If you do not read and agree, you will see a warning message about not accepting and will not be able to play online.
To read and accept:
- Launch Rocket League.
- Select Settings from the Main Menu.
- Select the Extras tab.
- Select Legal Agreements.
- Select and read the Epic Games Terms of Service.
- Select OK to accept.
- Select and read the Privacy Policy.
- Select OK to accept.
If accepting the Epic Games Terms of Service and Privacy Policy does not stop this message from coming up, you can try clearing your save data:
Deleting Save Data on Xbox
- Select Rocket League and press the Menu button
- Select Manage game and add-ons
- Select Saved Data
- Select the user profile of the player encountering the issue
- Select Delete Everywhere
Deleting Save Data on Nintendo Switch
- Go to System Settings > Data Management > Delete Save Data
- Select Rocket League
- Select the user profile of the player encountering the issue
- Delete Save Data
Deleting Save Data on Xbox PS4/PS5
- Go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management
- Choose Console Storage > Delete
- Select Rocket League
- Select Delete and then select OK to confirm your decision
Clear console cache
- Turn off your console using the controller or the Power button on the console.
- Unplug the power cable from the back.
- Wait at least two minutes.
- Plug the cable back in.
- Turn your console back on.
