How do I restart my modem or router to solve connection issues?

Restarting your router can help resolve connection issues. 

  1. Turn off your PC/Console.
  2. Unplug your Modem and Router from the power source.
  3. Leave your Modem and Router unplugged for at least a minute.
  4. Plug your Modem and Router back into the power source.
  5. Wait until the lights turn back on.
  6. Turn on your PC/Console.
  7. Reconnect your device to the Internet/Wi-Fi.
  8. Test your connection by going to a web page you haven’t been to in a while.
