How do I troubleshoot my connection on an iOS or iPadOS device?

Slow connections are never fun, and we are here to help! For a smooth experience, it is important to have a reliable network connection with a strong signal. Playing on a stable WiFi network or on a solid 4G/5G connection is key. If you are still experiencing any connection issues, follow the steps below.

Note: These steps may differ depending on your device. If you run into any bumps, please refer to your phone’s manual. 

  1. Force close your apps
    1. From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
    2. Swipe up on each app’s preview to close it. 
  2. Restart your device
    1. Press and hold the power button as well as the volume up button.
    2. Move the slider to power off.
    3. Wait a few moments for your phone to fully turn off.
    4. Hold down the power button to turn your phone back on.
  3. Restart your internet connection
    1. Unplug your router from the power source.
    2. Leave your router unplugged for at least a minute.
    3. Wait until the lights turn back on.
    4. Test your connection by going to a web page you haven’t been to in a while.
