How does Gifting work in the Epic Games Store?

Requirements for sending gifts

• Gifting is only available on the Epic Games Store website or in the Epic Games Launcher (PC/Mac).
  Note: Your Epic Games Launcher must be version v19.0 or later to send gifts.
• You must have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled on your account.
• You and the recipient must be Epic friends for at least 2 days.
• Only one gift can be sent at a time. You cannot use the shopping cart to send multiple gifts.

​​​​​​​How gifts are delivered

• Your friend will receive a gift notification stating that they have received a gift.
• The notification will include your display name, the game title, and a message if you selected it from the dropdown.
• Your friend will have the ability to accept or decline the gift.

Managing gifts

• Gifts must be accepted or declined within 14 days.
• Accepted gifts are added directly to your friend’s account.
• Declined or expired gifts will be refunded to the sender automatically.
