Chat stuck in launcher window and notifications missing in Epic Games Launcher

If chat appears inside the Epic Games Launcher window instead of its own window, or if desktop notifications are missing, your launcher may need to restart or update.

1. Restart the Epic Games Launcher manually.
   1. In the lower right corner, click on the chevron icon (the arrow pointing up).
   2. Right-click on the Epic icon in the pop-up window.
   3. Select Exit.
2. Make sure the Epic Games Launcher is fully updated.
   1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.
   2. Select the profile icon in the top right corner.
   3. Select Settings.
   4. If you see RESTART AND UPDATE, select it to update the Launcher.
