Epic Games Updater

This only applies to Windows users and does not affect users on other platforms.

The Epic Games Updater is a process used for delivering automatic updates to the Legacy Epic Games Launcher with improved security.

It is installed as a Windows Service during a fresh install of the Legacy Epic Games Launcher or during a future update for players with the Legacy Epic Games Launcher already installed. This Windows service is only active during the self-update process and does not run all the time.
