Why did I receive a refund after sending a gift on the Epic Games Store?

The gift was rejected or expired. Gifts expire 14 days after being sent. Unclaimed gifts are automatically refunded to the sender.

The game became unavailable before the gift was accepted. The gift is canceled and refunded in this case.
