Unable to update Epic Games Store mobile on Android

Some players on older versions of the Epic Games Store app for Android may be unable to update the app from within the app itself. If the update doesn't complete, you can install the latest version directly from our website.

1. In your browser, go to the Epic Games Store download page (Opens in a new tab)

2. Tap Install on Android, then follow the on-screen prompts.

   Your device may ask you to download the file again. Tap Download again to continue. The download should start automatically. 

3. Wait for the download to finish, then tap Open on the "File downloaded" notification.

4. Tap Update when prompted "Do you want to update this app?" and wait for the "Installing…" progress bar to complete.

5. When you see "App installed," tap Open to launch the updated app.

    The Epic Games Store should open to the Store home screen.
