How can I prevent my account from being flagged for suspicious purchasing activity?

If your account is already flagged

Purchase blocks are triggered by chargebacks or fraud-related activity detected on your account. When a block is applied, Epic Games sends an email with details. Check your inbox for a message from Epic Games about the block.

Temporary blocks expire automatically. Epic Games Support cannot remove purchase blocks early.

Purchase blocks also prevent code redemptions and may prevent sending or receiving in-game gifts.

How to prevent being flagged

  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your account. Two-factor authentication (2FA) and how to enable it
  • Make sure your billing address and payment details are entered correctly.
  • Only use payment methods that belong to you and that you are authorized to use.
  • Do not purchase V-Bucks or content from third-party sellers or websites.
  • Do not share your account credentials or payment information.
  • Contact your bank or payment provider if you believe they have placed restrictions on your payment account.
