How can parents add more time for Fortnite and UEFN?
When a child has 30 minutes or less left in their time limit, parents can add time in two ways:
If they have enabled their child to request for more time via email: When a parent or guardian has allowed their child to request more time, their child can request more time from within Fortnite. Their request will send the parent an email with a link where they can add more time, and choose when extra time can be used that day (e.g. right away or 30 minutes at 3 pm). The child won’t be able to request more time again until the parent has taken action to add more time or until the next window resumes. Requests for more time expire after time is successfully granted, after 12 hours, or at the end of the day, whichever comes first.
From inside Fortnite: Parents can always add more time inside Fortnite by selecting Time Limits & Reports from the main menu in the Sidebar and selecting Add More Time. Parents will then input their Parental Controls PIN code and can select the desired increment of time to add. When a parent adds time within Fortnite, new time added will extend their child’s time in Fortnite, effective immediately (e.g. adding 30 minutes at 5 pm, the child will be able to play until 5:30 pm).
Players cannot request extra time within Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN (Otevře se v novém panelu)) and parents cannot add extra time from within UEFN. Players will need to open Fortnite to send an email request. Adding time through either of these ways will grant time for both Fortnite and UEFN.
