Why is a Fortnite car bundle displayed as free?

You might see a Fortnite car bundle in the Item Shop marked as free on your account but notice a different price when viewing the same bundle on another account or when trying to send it as a gift.

This happens when you already own part of the bundle’s content and a new item (like a decal) is added to the same bundle in the Item Shop. Because you already own part of the bundle, the system applies a discount,  sometimes making it free for your own account.

However, that discount doesn’t apply when gifting. The full V-Bucks price for sending the bundle as a gift is shown during the gifting process. You can check the exact V-Bucks cost before confirming your gift in the gifting flow.
