I can't join a Fortnite tournament because the Play Now button is grayed out

If you are having issues with joining a tournament because the 'Play Now' button is grayed out, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Play tab in the Fortnite lobby.
2. Scroll down and choose By Epic.
3. Scroll down until you see a section called Fortnite Competitive.
4. In that section, available tournaments will be present.
5. Select the tournament you want to join.
6. If you don't see a section called Fortnite Competitive, make sure you are eligible: Why can’t I join a Fortnite Tournament?
