Why can't I switch to build mode in Fortnite?

We are aware that players might not be able to switch to build mode if some keys bound for this action (like K or O) are also used as a key for one of the building pieces. Our team is investigating this issue.

In the meantime, you could try resetting your key binds to be able to switch to build mode.
