Why can’t I return a Fortnite cosmetic item and see a return error?

If you see the error message “There was an error processing your request. Your Return Tickets items and V-Bucks were not changed,” the item you selected may not be eligible for a refund.

Items that cannot be returned

Items earned through the Battle Pass cannot be returned using Return Tickets or the cancel purchase option.

Battle Pass rewards are unlocked through gameplay and are not considered eligible purchases.

Note: If the item came from the Battle Pass, you will continue to see this error when attempting to return it.

What you can do

If your item was purchased from the Item Shop, you may still be able to return it if it meets the refund requirements.
