Why don't my keybinds work on the Emote Wheel in Fortnite?

After a recent game update, you might notice that the Emote Wheel in Fortnite is not working as intended and there is a delay when you try to emote, causing the game to appear stuck on the emote selection screen.

Our team is aware of this issue and there is an ongoing investigation. We are currently working on a fix for situations where you might not be able to close the Emote Wheel by clicling Escape (ESC) or other corresponding keybind, and when a selected emote is not activated properly.
