"An unexpected error occurred while signing in to your account for Xbox Live" error when launching Fortnite

If you receive an error of "An unexpected error occurred while singing in to your account for Xbox Live", please follow these steps:

1. Clear the cache on your console.
   • Refer to How do I clear my Xbox Series S|X cache?
2. Make sure Fortnite is up to date on your console.
   • Refer to Xbox's article How to find out if games are updated for Xbox One X (Opens in a new tab)
3. Resetting your console using the Reset and keep my games & apps option. 
   • Refer to Xbox's article How to reset your Xbox console to factory defaults (Opens in a new tab)
4. If the above steps do not resolve your issue, you can request that Epic Games Support reset your Fortnite settings.  Keep in mind, this will clear all of your settings and you will need to manually set them back up.  If this is a step you would like to try, please open a ticket with support, asking them to reset your Fortnite settings.
