Why does my Adventure or Klombo Sprite reset after being mastered in Fortnite?

If your Adventure or Klombo Sprite, including its variants, returns to Level 1 in the lobby after reaching Level 5 in a match, this is intended behavior. Those Sprites are unique items designed to consume itself after it reaches Max Level 5, automatically extracting once the maximum level is achieved.

Even though the Sprite resets to level 1 for the next match, it permanently retains its mastered status in your Sprite Mastery Tab.
