How can I connect a Rock Band 4 Rivals kit for Xbox One to my PC?

Using a wireless Rock Band drum kit on PC requires an Xbox Wireless Adapter (Opens in a new tab) for Windows. To connect your drumset:

  1. Plug the adapter into a USB port on your PC
  2. Press the Xbox button on your drumset to turn it on
  3. Press the sync button on your drumset until the LED starts flashing
  4. Press the sync button on the end of the adapter until the LED starts flashing

When both lights are solid, the drum set is connected. Once in-game, pressing buttons or hitting drums on the controller will switch from keyboard to controller input.

If the drum set light briefly flashes, then turns off a few seconds later, you may need to manually add the device to Windows:

  1. Open the Windows menu and search “bluetooth”
  2. Select “Bluetooth and other devices settings”
  3. On the Settings screen that opens, select the Add Device button
  4. Select Everything Else
  5. Press the sync button on your drumset until the LED starts flashing
  6. Press the sync button on the end of the adapter until the LED starts flashing
  7. Select the drumset when it appears in the pop-up.
