How do I update Fortnite?

PC

  1. Open Epic Games Launcher
  2.  Launch Fortnite
    If there's an update available, it will automatically start

PlayStation

  1. Go to Library 

  2. Select Fortnite
  3. Press the Options button on your controller
    This will open a side menu
  4. Select the Check for Update option
    If there’s an update available, your PlayStation will start downloading it automatically

XBOX

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide
  2. Select My Games & Apps 
  3. Select See All
  4. Select Games 
  5. Select Fortnite
  6. If there's an update available, you'll be able to select an Update option
    Xbox will then download and install the newest version of Fortnite 

Nintendo Switch

  1. Connect your Nintendo Switch to the Internet
  2. Go to the Home menu
  3. Select the Fortnite 
  4. Press the + or - Button on your controller
  5. Select Software Update 
  6. Select Via the Internet
    Fortnite will start updating.

Mobile

Epic Games Launcher

  1. Connect your device to the Internet
  2. Open the Epic Games Launcher app
  3. Click on Fortnite 
  4. Press Update
    Fortnite will start updating.

Google Play Store
