Why was my payment card charged by Kids Web Services?

When verifying your identity through the Payment Card Verification method, KWS will perform a monetary transaction.

• If you are outside of the USA, no charge will be made to your card. Instead, a small amount will be temporarily authorized against your card and then automatically released. 
• If you reside within the USA, 5¢ (USD) will be charged to your payment card. This transaction will be refunded within 8-13 business days.
