How are benchmarks simulated in PC Building Simulator 2?
We don't simulate a full computer in PCBS 2 as we don't have access to circuit designs etc for all parts.
As a result we can't run actual simulated benchmarks in-game.
Instead we take data from real-world benchmark results and use them to create a statistical model for CPU, GPU and RAM components and settings. While not perfect, this gives a good approximation of real-world scores.
For Futuremark benchmarks, UL kindly supplies us with sample data.
For Cinebench, we work with data we gather from various online sources.
These data sets can never cover every PC configuration, therefore our benchmark scores in-game can differ from real life.
