Connect Rock Band instruments on Wii with limited USB ports

The Wii console has two USB ports on the back. If you have more instruments than available ports, you can still connect them using the options below.

Use guitar dongles with built-in USB ports

If you are using guitar controllers from The Beatles: Rock Band or Rock Band 2 bundles:

• Plug the guitar dongles into the Wii console.
• Connect other instruments, such as drums, a microphone, or a keyboard, into the open dongle ports.

This setup supports most Rock Band instruments.

Use a USB hub

If you only have one guitar dongle or need more ports:

• Connect a USB hub to the Wii console.
• Plug the guitar dongle into the console or hub.
• Connect additional instruments to the hub.

Note: If you do not have a USB hub, you can purchase one from most electronics or game retailers.
