How do I transfer Rock Band save data to a new PlayStation 3

You can transfer your save data, games, and other content using the PlayStation Data Transfer Utility (Opens in a new tab).

Transfer your data to a new PlayStation 3

1. Sign in to your PlayStation Network account on both consoles.
2. Connect both PlayStation 3 systems to the same network.
3. On your new console, open Settings.
4. Select System Settings.
5. Select Data Transfer Utility.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to start the transfer.

Note: The transfer moves all content from your old console to your new console. After the transfer is complete, the data will no longer be on the original console.

Important information

• Rock Band save data is copy-protected and cannot be transferred using backup and restore methods.
• If any downloadable content (DLC) is missing after the transfer, you can redownload it from your Download List or Purchase History.
