How to set up Rock Band on PlayStation 3 using adapters

Set up guitar controllers with adapters

• The Beatles: Rock Band or Rock Band 2 guitars:
  • Plug each guitar adapter (wireless receiver) directly into the PlayStation 3.
  • Use the open USB ports on the guitar adapters to connect:
    • Drums
    • Microphone

This setup works with drum kits for Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and The Beatles: Rock Band.

• One guitar only (Rock Band 2 or The Beatles: Rock Band):
  • Plug the guitar adapter into the console.
  • Connect drums and microphone to the adapter’s USB ports.

Set up Rock Band (1) guitar controllers

• Using a Rock Band (1) guitar with other instruments:
  • Plug both guitar adapters directly into the console.
  • Connect drums and microphone to the extra USB ports on the Rock Band 2 guitar adapter.
• Using only one Rock Band (1) guitar:
  • Connect the guitar adapter to the console.
  • Use a USB hub to connect additional instruments.

Note: Plug each guitar adapter directly into the console. Do not connect one adapter into another, as this will not work.
