How do I change my Text Chat settings in Rocket League?

While in-game, you can use Text Chat to write messages manually. You can use the Text Chat to chat with your party, with your teammates, or with the whole lobby as you prefer.

To turn Text Chat on or off

1. Launch Rocket League.
2. Select Settings from the Main Menu.
3. Select the Chat tab.
4. Text Chat comes in 2 options:
   • Match Chat drop-down menu - This will turn on or off the chat everyone in the match will be able to see.
   • Party Chat drop-down menu - This will turn on or off the chat everyone in your party will be able to see.

To change the bindings of the Text Chat

1. Launch Rocket League.
2. Select Settings from the Main Menu.
3. Go to Controls tab.
4. Select View/Change Bindings.
5. Scroll down until you see the following 3 bindings to edit them:
   Note: Depending on which one you use, your text will be visible to the corresponding players.
   • Text Chat - If this is used, everyone in the match will see your text.
   • Team Text Chat - If this is used, only your teammates will see your text.
   • Party Text Chat - If this is used, only the players in your party will see your text.
