How do I close background applications on PlayStation to improve Rocket League's performance?

Having multiple applications running in the background can slow down your console's performance. 

Follow the steps below to close background applications to improve performance:

PlayStation 5

1. Press and hold the PS button on your controller
2. From the home screen, select the app you want to close
3. Select Options
4. Select Close Game
5. Repeat these steps to close the any additional apps

PlayStation 4

1. Press and hold the PS button on your controller
2. From the quick menu, select Close Application
3. Select ALL applications available
4. Click OK
