Why did my inventory swap after Rocket League split-screen match?

We're aware of an issue where players may report that their Rocket League inventory appears swapped with their co-player’s inventory after playing in split-screen mode.

To fix the issue, you can use the trade-in function as explained below:

  1. Select Garage from the main menu

  2. Select Trade In.

  3. Within a category, select the rarity of the item or blueprint that you want to trade in.

  4. Select 5 items of the same rarity that will be used up permanently in exchange for another item of the rarity above.

For every five Base items that are traded in, one random Sport item is received in exchange.
  5. Click Accept and confirm that you want to trade in the selected items. You can repeat this process to obtain higher-rarity items, such as Special, Deluxe, Luxury, and so on.

Trade ins are not reversible and will permanently remove the 5 items you selected.. Epic Games Support cannot assist with this.
  6. Once the trade-in is complete, restart Rocket League.

If the trade-in function doesn't fix the issue, you can try resolving this issue by following the steps indicated for your platform:

If the issue persists, please note this is a known issue and item syncing should resolve it automatically after a period of time.
