How do I report a player in Sideswipe?
If you would like to report a player, you can do so with one of the following options:
While in a Match:
- Open the Settings menu
- Select Report/Block Player
- Select the player’s username
- Select Report
- Select one or more of the reporting reasons
After a Match:
- Go to the main menu
- Open your friends list
- Select the Recent Players tab
- Find the player
- Select their username
- Select Report Player
- Select one or more of the reporting reasons
Reporting reasons
- Text harassment: Offensive language in text chat
- Match throwing or griefing: Scoring own goals, intentionally disturbing teammate's movements, smurfing, etc.
- Intentionally idle: Not moving or only moving slighly during a match
- Inappropriate player name: The player's name is upsetting or offensive
You can select more than one reason. For example, if a teammate is harassing you in team chat, and is also own-goaling, you can select both Text Harassment and Match Throwing or Griefing.
Psyonix has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to harassment of any kind. We will act on violations of the Code of Conduct (Opens in a new tab). This can include permanent game bans in the most extreme cases. When a chat or game ban is placed on an account, each additional violation will increase the length of the ban.
