Disallowed Program Kick - Battleye

BattlEye may kick you from a match with the message: "You were removed from the match due to BattlEye error: Found a disallowed program running on machine, please disable [Program] and reconnect."

This happens when BattlEye detects a program that is not permitted while playing.
This is not a ban - you can rejoin the match after resolving the issue.

To resolve the kick:

  1. Note the name of the program shown in the error message.
  2. Fully close or disable that program. Minimizing it is not enough - the program or its background processes must be completely stopped.
  3. Restart the game and reconnect.

Known categories of programs that commonly trigger this kick include:

  • Macro or automation tools
  • Visual enhancement or shader modification tools - these are specifically blocked in Fortnite
  • Virtualization software running in the background
  • Hardware management software with active background processes - for some of these, full uninstallation and a system reboot may be required rather than simply closing them

If you cannot identify the program from the error message, perform a clean boot to disable non-essential background processes and identify the culprit. Refer to Microsoft's guide on how to perform a clean boot (Opens in a new tab) for steps.
