In Battle Breakers, Heroes are divided into five elements; Fire, Nature, Water, Light, and Dark. In each element, heroes are sorted by different classes. For more information on Hero classes see this guide.
They each have an opposing element, dealing 50% more damage to and taking 50% less from the element they are strong against. Light and Dark elements deal 50% bonus damage to each other.
The Fire element contains a higher proportion of heroes focused on dealing damage, there are tanks and support units but limited healing capabilities. They deal 50% bonus damage to Nature heroes and receive 50% less damage from them.
The Nature element contains a higher proportion of protective heroes and damage dealers. They deal 50% bonus damage to Water heroes and receive 50% less damage from them.
The Water element contains a higher proportion of support heroes and healers, there is a decent pool of classes. Water heroes deal 50% bonus damage to Fire heroes and receive 50% less damage from them.
The Light element contains a higher proportion of tanks and healers, there are damage dealers but no Assassins. They deal 50% bonus damage to Dark heroes but are also susceptible to their attacks.
The Dark element contains a higher proportion of Assassins and offensive heroes, there are a few tanks and support units but limited healing capabilities. They deal 50% bonus damage to Light heroes but are also susceptible to their attacks.
