Why do I get the message, "Have you played Fortnite Before?" when trying to launch Fortnite on my mobile device?

To launch the app try the following:

  1. Start Fortnite on your mobile device.
  2. Select Yes - Find my Account.
  3. Allow some time for a browser window to update.
  4. In The browser window sign in using your Epic account credentials.
    After signing in you will be redirected back to the “Have you played Fortnite before?” screen in the Fortnite app
  5. Select Yes - Find my Account
  6. As soon as the browser window opens, close it to return to the Fortnite app.

If the steps mentioned above did not fix your issue, and you are using a Samsung device, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Open Fortnite on your Samsung mobile phone
  2. Click the hamburger menu button, on the bottom part of the screen (it's the one where you can see applications that are currently running), and find Fortnite.
  3. When you locate Fortnite, click on the Fortnite logo, on the top of the tile, and then, click Lock this app
  4. Resume the game, by clicking on the game's tile
  5. Select Yes - Find my Account
  6. Allow some time for the browser window to update
  7. In the browser window, sign in using your Epic account credentials.
    After signing in, you will be redirected back to the “Have you played Fortnite before?” screen in the Fortnite app
  8. Select Yes - Find my Account
  9. As soon as the browser window opens, close it without letting it load, to return to the Fortnite app

You should now be back on Fortnite, and the sign-in issue should be resolved.
