Why do I get the error "OpenAL32.dll is missing" error when playing a game?
Open32.dll usually gets installed automatically when you first install your game from the Epic Game Launcher. There are cases where it doesn't, even after attempting to reinstall the game. When this happens. you may receive the error "OpenAL32.dll is missing".
Games that require the OpenAL32.dll have an OpenAL installer included in their Installation folder.
Epic Games Store:
- In the Epic Games Launchers select Library in the left column.
- Locate the game getting the error message.
- Click the 3 dots (meatball menu) below the game image.
- Click Manage.
- On the Installation line, click the folder icon.
