Client Engineering- Fall Guys

What We Do

We are looking for a Core Tech Lead to join Mediatonic.

Mediatonic is the game developer behind Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and a new member of the Epic Games family. We’re aiming to build "the Greatest Gameshow on Earth" as part of our mission to connect people through massively-multiplayer game experiences.

We take pride in crafting original titles that bring people together. Our quest is to create joyful experiences that are open to all by investing in the ideas, technologies and people that can bring our vision to life.

We’re looking for fantastic people to join our world-class team to help grow Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout into an entertainment platform and to nurture the other equally ambitious titles we’re dreaming up.

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a skilled lead to join our Core Tech team to oversee all of the foundational game client and game server development for Fall Guys.

We are looking for someone with a broad range of technical skills who can work with teams covering a wide range of concerns, such as Networking, Ops & monitoring, Performance/optimisation, Character control, the game's Engine and Porting.

You'll help to bring structure and cohesion to the sub-teams and work closely with them to help define, design, plan and schedule their work. You'll need to be a clear communicator, liaising with production and QA to ensure work can be properly planned around and validated. You'll need a good intuition for priority and risk to work with the team to ensure the right people are working on the right tasks, that ambiguity and unknowns are worked through and that they have everything they need to get the work done.

You should be driven by measurable stability, performance and resolution conditions to the entire technical landscape of the game running world wide. Identify issues that require attention, support Customer Service and Community Management for the game out in the wild and QA and Production along the release pipeline and stability of upcoming features as well as keeping external third parties in the loop and syncing with anything from maintenance issues to planned downtime. You’ll need to identify what improvements need to be made, have been made and keep key stakeholders informed throughout.
