Scavengers Early Access FAQ
Scavengers Early Access FAQ

Why Early Access?

Before Scavengers is officially launched, we want to spend some time ‘always-on’ with the community so we can ensure we’re developing this game with you, for you. To do this right, everything needs to be tuneable - including progression - so that we can hear and react to all kinds of feedback. We plan to reset progression at least once before getting closer to launch, but hope you’ll join us on Discord and/or our social channels to help shape this game now and for years to come.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

A few months at least, with our goal being to officially launch before the end of 2021.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

Our two focuses for Early Access are to continue expanding our progression and engagement systems - in addition to balancing and optimizing the game. We want to ensure there are many ways to invest into Scavengers’ research system and custom loadouts, with a wide array of new talents, weapons, and loadout items available at launch. Other things we'll be focused on adding for launch include an expanded Challenges system, a seasonal Battle Pass, and a new playable character.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

We believe the core game loop of Scavengers (a single session) is ready for competitive testing, and want to hear your feedback on balance, performance, and overall pacing. Throughout Early Access we hope to bolster our progression and gameplay customization systems, like Research and Loadouts.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

Scavengers will be free-to-play at launch, just like Early Access, but we are working on ways to reward players for joining us early.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

Great games are built through great relationships with the community, and that begins with open lines of communication, transparent updates, and constant listening. We hope you’ll join us on Discord to share your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions going into launch and beyond.
