VHS Early Access FAQVHS Early Access FAQ
Thanks for your interest in VHS! Here's the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions about our plans for Early Access.
Why is VHS using Early Access?
VHS is our first free to play multiplayer game. We will be using Early Access as our period to establish our presence in the 4v1 genre, iterate on balance, and develop a cadence for the release of updates and future content. We know it will take a lot of iteration before the game settles down and we find exactly what works best. We want to be clear to our audience that they should expect significant changes through this process.
Approximately how long will VHS be in Early Access?
We expect to be in Early Access no longer than a year.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The full release of VHS aims to have a fine-tuned competitive balance between Teens and Monsters in-game, a steady cadence of updates and improvements to core game systems, and a substantial amount of content for users to obtain.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
When it becomes available, our Early Access Beta will contain our collection of launch content, including 3 playable Monsters, 5 playable Teens, and 3 launch maps. As we proceed through the beta, updates will focus on gameplay balance, performance optimization, and core systems.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
VHS is free to play, and will remain so after our launch. Any items available for purchase in the game will also remain at the same price after the game exits early access.
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
Our Discord server will the primary platform for discussion with our Community. On there, we'll take in bug reports, feedback, and discuss design decisions with our audience, and look to implement changes that we believe will make VHS stronger.
