What kind of game is Spellbreak?

Spellbreak is a new battle royale RPG featuring epic magic combat. Weave spectacular spell combinations and craft strategic builds in your quest for survival!

What is Closed Alpha?

“Closed Alpha” means you can play Spellbreak before its official release, while it’s still in active development. During this stage of development, you can expect to see new features, spells, runes, items, and more. Our development team will rely on YOUR feedback to help us improve and refine the Spellbreak experience.
Please note that because Spellbreak is in active development, the game may change (in some ways, drastically).

Do I have to apply to be part of the Closed Alpha?

Yes, you will have to apply to be part of the Closed Alpha. You can submit your application through https://playspellbreak.com/.

I previously applied for the pre-alpha, but wasn’t accepted to the program. Do I need to submit a new application to be considered for the Closed Alpha?

If you previously applied to the pre-alpha program, you do not need to submit a new application for the Closed Alpha. We will continue to draw on the existing pool of applicants for the Closed Alpha program, in addition to the pool of new applications.

I was part of Spellbreak’s pre-alpha. Will I get to participate in the Closed Alpha on the Epic Store?

Yes, we intend to allow our pre-alpha testers access to the Closed Alpha program. Check your email for an access key.

I love Spellbreak and want to stream it or make content for it. Is that cool?

Absolutely. Be sure to sign up for the Spellbreak creators program on the Spellbreak website.

Is Spellbreak part of the Epic Games store Support-A-Creator program?

Yes! If you’re making any purchase be sure to use the Creator Tag for your favorite creator at check out.

Does Spellbreak have a release date?

We hope to release Spellbreak later in 2019.

What languages does Spellbreak support?

Spellbreak is currently only available in English but we plan to support additional languages in the future.

Will Spellbreak have servers in my region?

Spellbreak currently has servers in North America, central Europe, South America, and South East Asia but we plan to support additional regions in the future.

How much will Spellbreak cost when it launches?

We have not yet announced any monetization plans for Spellbreak, but will let the community know as soon as we have new information to share.

What are Spellbreak Founder Packs? Will you continue to make Founder Packs available?

Founder Packs were available for purchase during the pre-alpha as a way to let early adopters support the development of Spellbreak while also gaining access to exclusive perks and future in-game content. Closed Alpha Founder Packs are currently available to get instant access to the game. We have not yet announced plans for additional Founder Packs in the future.

I previously purchased a Founder Pack, how can I ensure that I get my items?

Check your email for a new Epic Games store key that you can redeem. When the items become available that will be connected to your account.

What are Spellbreak's recommended system specs?

The current recommended specs are:
OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 8.1, or 10
Processor: Intel Core i5-4430 / AMD FX-6300
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB / AMD Radeon R7 370 2GB
If you do not meet the recommended specs, don’t worry—we will be optimizing for lower spec machines in the near future! Be sure to check the release notes of future patches for further updates.

Which platforms will Spellbreak be available on?

Spellbreak is currently available for PC/Windows only, but we are considering additional platforms for launch.

Does Spellbreak have controller support?

Spellbreak does not natively support controllers at this stage of development, but we intend to implement native controller support in a later stage of development.

What studio is behind Spellbreak?

Proletariat Inc. was founded in 2012 by a group of game-industry veterans from Harmonix, Turbine, and Insomniac who were intent on pushing the boundaries of multiplayer games while demanding the highest level of quality. Our previous titles include World Zombination, a mobile MMO that was named one of Apple’s “Best of 2015,” and Streamline, a third person multiplayer arena game built for and around streaming.
