UT2004 server CD key

Tried twice but I don't get a CD key to my mail (gmail).

Your best bet might be to try and contact Flak, but out of curiosity, does gmail filter out "suspicious emails"? The site mentions that the attachment sometimes triggers anti-virus programs so maybe its sitting in a suspect email folder...

I'll try it too to see if it works and/or how long it takes for any emails to get sent out.

oh ok. Is it needed for anything than send ut-stats (http://ut2004stats.epicgames.com/)? Will the server show up in the ingame serverbrowser without the CD key?

No, it won't show up.

But you can use any valid CD-Key for a server, also your normal key. The server-only-key is/was just free and you can't use it to play. Also when you don't have a dedicatet server and you want play with the same PC you need to use a normal key.

I have no other key than the one i play with. I wrote an email to Epic about it but they have not responded. Kind of crapy of them they cant even find 10 seconds to answer. Either -No, we cant help you. Or -Here you go *CD-key*.

Hey Eazy, if you want to create a server on the mashine where you're playing with than you need to use your CD-Key with that you normaly play. Because if you use another it will override it and or some things will get messy.
You can simply start a dedicated server on your gaming PC with your play-cd-key. When it's running the game should close if you started it ingame. Than start the game again and join it with the same key.. Don't forget to free some ports if you want to use it via the i-net.

It is a dedicated UT2004 server running on one of my servers. I have it running for some friends. The server runs fine without the CD-key, but I don't know if it shows up in the ingame server browser. The server is called "Kaffestugan" and it is TDM-server. I can see it in the server browser under TDM, but I think no one els can.

Yes it is running Rankin (thanx for checking). If you can see it, then i wonder what the CD-key is meant fore. Perhaps only statistics... I don't have the ports for stats open anyway.
