    Echo - Duel/DM map

    Hello. I am working on a new original duel and DM map. Echo started out as a Mimic remake but I ended doing a lot of things differently. The map borrows some things I liked from Mimic. But since I made Mimic I have learned a lot of new things and I feel confident that this map will end up with a new level of quality.

    The goal of this project is to make a map that is popular in competitive play. I will make a couple of alternative versions of the map with some areas done differently, by doing this I think we can merge the best parts of each iteration until the final layout emerges.

    Thanks for the map, do you think this can be good for 3v3 eliminations? Or is too small?

    Its going to be "duel sized" so somewhere between Asdf/Solo, I would say thats too small but I dont play elimination so I cant speak for map size preferences for that crowd.

    New version is up (b2) which is compatible with the latest patch (17-02-22). Should be on the unrealpugs hubs shortly.

    Helmet under middle bridge is missing in the current version, it will be back next time the game is updated.

    I plan on releasing a new map version each time the game is updated. Since maps have to be recooked each game version, this will "purge" the game from old map versions, so there wont be any conflicting version available, if the map is playable, you have the right version.

    In the meanwhile, heres a video giving some examples of ways to move around.

    Hi Fjaru, Echo is an awesome map. One of my favorite. Thanks for the map and respect to your work. But i think this map should be better in night time or with more darkness. Maybe you can do another night time version of the map. Also i cant find the way to pick up a secret sniper riffle in other island in this map. İs it possible to pick up that?

    I dont have any plans to make the map night time or make a night time version of the map right now, its a lot of work for something thats only a visual thing. Having the map be daylight allows me to only have the sky as a light source which makes working on the map faster.
