    Nothing in this should affect the load time between maps. But keep in mind, there is no more map rotation. It's just map vote. Maybe something with the fact that you are expecting map rotation might be causing the issue? There might be some edge case there since map rotation has been removed Krogerfeedback

    I run linux server, but I have only run the commandlet from an offline windows client. I had to set file ext to .txt to upload here (attached to post); need to change it to .json for game to use it. Adding maps: it seems we have to hide defaults and add our own copies with a unique unique tag, we can use same title, though. Rulesets works on clients, too, so you may easily test offline.

    Was the ExportGameRulesets commandlet fixed for Linux Servers? If so, how do we invoke it? (Do I have to go into my HUB, authenticate as an admin and run it from the console? Or is it something that can be ran from the UE4Server-Linux-Shipping execution string?)
    In the chance that this is not fixed yet, can somebody supply the exported Rulesets for the current build here? I'd ask on discord but you have to verify your phone in order to be able to send messages. (Really now guys? No thanks on that)

    Let's say that we want to add a few custom maps to the default Rulesets (like Duel and DM), what would be the optimal way to go about it?
    Will declaring a Ruleset that has the same uniqueTag, override the default (Epic) implementation, or do we have to hide it and make an identical one that includes the custom maps?

    [Apoc]Death, I saw the Custom tab mostly off my screen on a server with very many categories before the move to rulesets.json. Thus, I've learned you can hide the Custom tab off most players screens by adding a lot of whitespace to the right side of your last category before end-quote, and you can add space between a set of fewer categories with whitespace, also. If space added with a spacebar does not seem to work for you, try no-break space (ALT+0160). This worked for me. I looked over the source for other options, and found none; so try this hack for now.

    The MaxPlayersInLobby setting in Game.ini is supposed to cap the amount of players in your lobby, but I do not know whether that includes players in-game, or if players who did not join through the lobby are added to the lobby count.

    I'm having some issues controlling my server as I try to switch to the "hub" from the so-called "old school" way of server setup. Pardon my senior moment here.

    1) Is there a way to cap overall player count across all instances spawned by the hub, or is that only achieved by limiting to N instances, and capping player count to M/N instances to ensure player count is <=M? The latter seems irritatingly limited, but I'm happy to set N to 1 if that's the only way to get the job done. On a related note, is the switch to a hub mean no more capping player count from the command line?

    2) How does one control the "Custom" tab? I have had success with hiding the Epic default game rules, but I can't figure out how to do anything to affect the Custom tab. I would love to be able to hide it and/or control what gametypes/value ranges/mutators are offered in the droplists/sliders/selection lists.

    Every bit of docs I've found so far still references the old rules.ini file format, so I think they need some concerted updating efforts... So I'm happy to be told to RTFM, so long as a link is provided to relevant docs.

    Thank you! JoeWilcox I finally got my Hub working the way I want so I am very pleased now!

    .... now for the Old School servers I would like the same results with the Hub custom game/tab I setup for our Clan Game we like which is a simple arena instagib with lowgrav , gamespeed and translocator on custom maps only with 2 bots on a 10 slot server! .... is this possible now with old school!?

    Just add a rule with the custom tab name. The game will look at all available rules and create tabs for them.

    There really isn't any extra instructions for old school servers. Other than map rotation being 100% gone, nothing else should have changed. By default it should just pull in all maps of the associated map prefix for the map vote list. You can use the ?ART=xxxx url switch to force your server to use a specific rule set for MapVote if you wish. For example ?ART=Deathmatch would cause your DM server to use the DM Rule set''s map list. But if you're running a stand alone single game type server, it shouldn't be needed.

Also, I don't suggest using spaces in your unique tags. They get passed on the URL and while there is code in there to convert the spaces to "_" if you manually try to do things it will have problems.
