Actually the Egyptian stuff in Unreal Championship 2 was phenomenal, In my opinion it was the best art direction Unreal ever took.

I love the Anuban/Nakhti style (note that it is not standard ancient Egypt style, it has all those Tron lines and such that shows the modern ideas being integrated into it). And the definitely have place in UT. Liandri is hosting a tournament, and they want their combatants to look extravagant because that makes the show more popular.

Uh, you aren't very attentive with your reading, it seems like. The second link in your post clearly states this:
Nearly three millennia ago, a colony of humans from the Egyptian desert were seeded on this remote moon as part of an alien experiment. While the Egyptian Empire of Earth experienced eventual decline and passed into legend, the colonists of Anubis flourished, creating a civilization that combines the architecture of their ancestors with modern technology.
So it's not aliens that built pyramids, it's aliens that were impressed by Egyptians building pyramids and their ability to survive in deserts and thus decided to transport some to another planet. Given the description of some of the UT2004 characters, the planet (a satellite, actually) Anubis is mostly deserts, kind of like Arrakis from Dune. Nakhti live on at least three different planets, too.

The Egyptians in UT2004 was an actual faction who had their own floating rock and thus futuristic Egyptian based maps. I absolutely love Egyptian themed maps with scifi twist. They all well-made. But the problem arise here is the whole idea is too much far-fetched. Don't rely it on being 'unreal' pls. Whole concept of future Egyptians would be a lot more acceptable if they were only a team who entered the tournament with chosen Egyptian fashion. That's it, why push it more and give them some absurd backstory about planetary civilization and so on. Same for Egyptian themed maps (there must be some of them, no?). These are just arenas built with future-Egyptian fashion.

The whole idea of implementing ancient Egyptian theme to new UT is in suspense. Because it would need shittons of effort to implement, and secondly it would enable a lot more styles to enter the tournament and end up like a circus show, and thirdly why not make something fresh instead of repeat it?

The backstory is already there. You can't just remove it from existence. You can revise it, but it's saying "Oh, this planet called Anubis was fake all along!" is much more far-fetched. Continuity is important.

We need that outworldly feel for the game, do some creative rethoughts, find the game Unreal and play it, view it more for the art example.

UT99 was/is a great game but had Egyptian themes in it. During the Unreal time the gang at Epic were working on some Unreal demos and had some Egyptian themed textures/maps for the purpose of artistic and game demoing using high quality textures, testing you know. so somewhere it worked into UT99 and on and on.

I couldn't get the Oriental themes either, trying to appease those folks or something? we are in the future for this game.
            Fashion is advancing.

The good Egyptian levels and characters were all in Unreal Championship 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2zTJ8w_kI8 , Which had my favorite level art designs. The ones in UT2004 were just ok to me.

I quite like the diversity.. the egyptian style was unique from the others, so I didn't mind them.

If something similar were to be done now, I'd prefer to see it evolve into it's own sci-fi egyptian influenced style rather than 'actual' eqyptian style. Something a little more unique

Yeap, only on M$ Xbox. And yes, everything I've seen shows UC2 is awesome (UC1 was interesting due to models), but I'll never get to play them...

First one was kinda lame and just a port of 2k4 but the second one was built for the Xbox and was actually quite awesome with more detail in the background skyboxes than 2k4 that gave the world's presence and a unique art direction on a lot of maps. it's backwards compatible if any of you have a 360. You can even play as Raiden from Mortal Kombat haha.

I would also like to see more of an egyptian theme. What is the name of the map with this screenshot in it ? WEZ ?

I am a fan of the space Egyptian look honestly

The left design is great I love it where as the design on the right seems too odd and like it would hinder rather than be of any significance. Same as the women's Large tower helmets, keep Diva's sleek style look

Though I liked the art work; The Egyptian stuff in the past never seemed to fit UT.

That might be a bit over-board compared to what you suggested (but still not as ridiculous as the original lore that the Nakhti Egyptians had), but I feel it might be an interesting piece of lore to add to the game.
That is how I picture it too. Since there's always been Egyptian maps right from the beggining of the series, one can guess the Nakhti possess their own planet and wish to revive one of humanity's golden ages sort of.

Personally, I would love it if there was a handful of maps inspired by ancient megalithic constructions. Gotta love these giant boulders and how ingenious people were in moving them in the past. There's something to be done with Tihuanaco (Bolivia) and the Osireion temple at Abybos in Egypt. By taking a few artistic liberties, they would make for great CTF maps I believe.
